Ashbourne RUFC

This is notice that the next Annual General Meeting of Ashbourne RUFC will take place on Friday 1st October at 7pm at The Ex Servicemens Club, Ashbourne It is proposed that, in addition to it’s normal business, the club will amend its constitution at the AGM to adopt the constitution in the attached form. The purpose of this amendment is toenable the club to apply to become a CASC (Community Amateur Sports Club). The main benefit for the club in becoming a CASC is that it will then be able to claim Gift Aid on any donations. This will mean that for any person who pays sufficient income or capital gains tax, the club can claim £25 for every £100 donated by that person. If a person is a 40% higher rate tax payer they will also be refunded £25 for every £100 they donate to a CASC.
