Ashbourne RUFC

On 11th February 2023, Ashbourne 2nds played in a match against Chesterfield 1sts which was abandoned due a brawl which broke out between the two teams. Ashbourne RUFC would like to make clear that fighting, brawling and ill-discipline such as this are not acceptable at our club and in the game of rugby. The club wholeheartedly apologises to the referee for the behaviour of its players on this occasion. The core values of rugby, Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship, are not empty words. They are the principles and codes which make the game special and which our club supports and upholds. We ask all of you - players, members and supporters - to respect these core values.
