Jean Brown. Many of you will be aware of the loss of our number one supporter. Jean was always on the touch line in the mid 80’s watching her sons David and Martin play for the Colts then seniors. For any ‘bus trip’ she was there! Front seat with a big smile and a word for all of us as we walked on. Her judgment of how the team had played was normally a single sentence and correct. She knew her stuff. She continued to be a regular on the rec as her walking became more difficult, the players pushing her mobility scooter across the mud to ensure a decent touchline view. David’s son Tom kept the family playing connection going, playing through the age groups on Sunday mornings, Jean always on the touchline giving her support and legendary opinions. Can we ask as many club members as possible to ‘line’ Park Avenue this Thursday 8 April 2021 10.30am onwards. From about half way up the avenue, the hearse will start its journey at 10.45am to a private burial. There is no church service. Jean Brown. A fantastic lady who will be sorely missed by many of us.
